2) Google Forms Questions (10 pts) *you will need to do some research -What kinds of waste make up these islands? -Why is the garbage all clumped together in islands? -Who do you think should have to clean it up? -Where are some of the largest ones? -What can we do to prevent such islands being formed in the first place? -What are the impacts on certain species? Give a specific example. -What is biodegradable plastic? -What does "single use plastic" mean? -How can bacteria be used to help? -What are microplastics? -What is photodegradation? 3) Visual Representation (10 pts) Show what a garbage island looks like 1) Build a model. In your bathtub or sink, make a model of a pacific ocean garbage patch. (Make sure nothing actually goes down the drain!) or 2) Draw a picture (digitally, paint, charcoal, pencil crayons, fingerpaint...) of what a garbage patch looks like (maybe put a sad bird on top, shark with belly full of garbage or sea creature tangled up.
